Parish Prayer Group

I have now been leading the Parish Prayer Group since the mission finished. The Prayer Group is for the whole parish and is for men and women.

We meet at 7.30 pm each Thursday but there is no need to feel committed to coming every week. The reason I decided to run it every week was precisely so people could drop in when they could make it. We do not generally follow on from one week to the other so you can take each week as an entity on its own. Below I have outlined the format of a typical Prayer Group evening in a little more detail so you can see what we have to offer you:

Reflection: this is usually taken from a religious writing that is not the bible

Pause and opportunity for sharing


Gospel: this is usually the gospel of the day but may occasionally be another reading of the day
